🍲 Instructions
Phase 1: Prepare the Ingredients
1. Chop the Fresh Ingredients (10 minutes)
Rinse the cherry tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeños. Dice the tomatoes and red onion into small pieces. Finely chop the cilantro leaves. Slice the jalapeños lengthwise, remove the seeds and inner ribs if you prefer less heat, then finely dice the peppers.
2. Prepare the Avocados (3 minutes)
Cut the avocados in half lengthwise and remove the pits. Scoop the avocado flesh into a medium mixing bowl.
Phase 2: Mix and Season
1. Combine the Ingredients (3 minutes)
Add the diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeños to the avocado. Use a fork or potato masher to gently mash and mix everything together. Keep some chunks intact for a thicker texture and extra bite.
2. Add Flavor (2 minutes)
Pour in the fresh lime juice and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir gently until the lime juice and seasonings are evenly mixed throughout the dip.
3. Garnish and Serve
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Add a sprinkle of extra cilantro or diced tomatoes on top for a colorful finish. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, or cover and refrigerate until you’re ready to enjoy it.
This refreshing Lake Day Dip is ideal for summer gatherings, picnics, pool days, beach trips, or anytime you want a fresh and flavorful appetizer.
