Pepperoni Crisps

These Pepperoni Crisps are the perfect quick snack to have on hand when unexpected guests arrive. With only pepperoni and cheese, you can make a hot, savory treat in just minutes. The finished crisps have the satisfying crunch of potato chips, but with a much bolder flavor from smoky pepperoni and golden, toasted cheese. They’re a simple, low-carb appetizer with the feel of classic Midwestern bar snacks and party favorites.

Serving Ideas

  • Serve them warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.
  • Add a crisp green salad to provide a fresh contrast to their richness.
  • Enjoy them with a cold beer, a glass of red wine, or sparkling water with lemon.
  • For a larger appetizer spread, serve alongside fresh vegetables and dip, olives, or a small selection of cheeses.

Pepperoni Crisps (2 Ingredients, Low Carb)

Ingredients

IngredientAmountNotes
Pepperoni slices6 oz (40–50 slices)Thinly sliced
Mozzarella cheese1 cupShredded, low-moisture (or Italian blend)

Directions

1. Preheat the Oven

Set the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Arrange the Pepperoni

Place the pepperoni slices on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Leave a little room between each slice so they can crisp properly.

3. Add the Cheese

Place a small pinch of shredded mozzarella in the center of each pepperoni slice. Try to keep most of the cheese directly on the pepperoni rather than letting it fall onto the baking sheet.

4. Bake Until Crisp

Bake for 8–12 minutes, watching carefully toward the end of the cooking time. The crisps are ready when the pepperoni edges are crunchy and the cheese has melted and turned golden.

5. Cool and Serve

Allow the pepperoni crisps to cool on the baking sheet for 5–10 minutes. They will become firmer as they cool. If needed, gently blot the bottoms with a paper towel to remove excess grease, then transfer them to a serving platter. Serve warm or at room temperature.
