Antipasto Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Refrigerated crescent roll dough | 2 cans (8 oz each) |
| Sliced ham | ¼ pound |
| Sliced salami | ¼ pound |
| Sliced pepperoni | ¼ pound |
| Sliced provolone cheese | ¼ pound |
| Sliced mozzarella cheese | ¼ pound |
| Roasted red peppers, drained and sliced | ½ cup |
| Large eggs | 3 |
| Grated Parmesan cheese | ¼ cup |
| Italian seasoning | 1 teaspoon |
| Garlic powder | ½ teaspoon |
| Black pepper | ¼ teaspoon |
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pan
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
Step 2: Create the Bottom Layer
Unroll one package of crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the baking dish. Seal any seams together to create a smooth crust.
Step 3: Add the Filling Layers
Layer the ham, salami, and pepperoni evenly over the dough. Add the provolone and mozzarella cheese, then spread the roasted red peppers across the top.
Step 4: Prepare the Egg Topping
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper until fully combined.
Step 5: Build the Final Layers
Pour half of the egg mixture over the meat and cheese layers. Place the remaining crescent dough on top, sealing the edges and seams. Brush the remaining egg mixture evenly over the top crust.
Step 6: Bake Until Golden
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese filling is melted and heated through.
Tip: Allow the baked squares to rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. This helps the layers set and makes serving much easier.
Step 7: Slice and Serve
Cut into squares or rectangles with a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Enjoy warm or at room temperature as a party appetizer, snack, or easy meal.
