“I triple this and I swear this was still the first thing gone at my party!”

These candied kielbasa bites are always one of the first appetizers to disappear. They’re sweet, smoky, sticky, and slightly tangy with a rich caramelized coating that clings to every piece. Once they hit the table, everyone keeps coming back for another bite.

The optional hasselback cuts make them even better by allowing the glaze to soak deep into the sausage while the edges crisp beautifully as they bake.

✨ Candied Kielbasa Bites ✨

Ingredients

• 2 lbs kielbasa sausage
• 1 cup brown sugar
• ½ cup ketchup
• ¼ cup prepared horseradish

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the Oven
Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2️⃣ Cut the Kielbasa
Slice the sausage into 1-inch sections.

3️⃣ Make Hasselback Cuts (Optional)
Place each sausage piece between chopsticks or wooden skewers and carefully cut thin slits across the top without slicing all the way through. This helps the sauce flavor every bite.

4️⃣ Prepare the Sauce
Add the kielbasa pieces to a baking dish. Pour in the brown sugar, ketchup, and horseradish, then stir until everything is evenly coated.

5️⃣ Bake Until Caramelized
Bake for 60–90 minutes, stirring every 20 minutes, until the sauce becomes thick and sticky and the sausage edges turn browned and glossy.

6️⃣ Serve Warm
Allow the bites to cool slightly before serving.
