Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites

🧂 Ingredients

  • Refrigerated cinnamon roll dough with icing — 1 tube (12 oz / about 340 g)
  • Large eggs — 2
  • Milk of choice — ⅓ cup (80 ml)
  • Vanilla extract — 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon — ½ teaspoon
  • Unsalted butter — 1 tablespoon
  • Optional toppings — Powdered sugar or maple syrup

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Slice the Cinnamon Rolls

Open the package and remove the icing container for later use. Cut each cinnamon roll into 6–8 small bite-sized pieces.

2️⃣ Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until fully blended.

3️⃣ Coat the Dough Pieces

Gently toss the cinnamon roll pieces in the egg mixture so each piece is lightly coated. Avoid leaving them in too long to prevent them from becoming overly soft.

4️⃣ Cook Until Golden

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Arrange the coated bites in a single layer and cook for about 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked in the center.

🔄 Optional Air Fryer Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the bites in a single layer and air fry for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until crispy and golden.

5️⃣ Finish and Serve

Warm the cream cheese icing in the microwave for a few seconds until easy to drizzle. Pour it over the warm bites and serve immediately. Add powdered sugar or maple syrup for extra sweetness if desired.
