Mixed Seafood Salad

This Seafood Salad is a fresh, coastal-style favorite that brings out the naturally sweet, delicate flavor of imitation crab, balanced with the bright, herby touch of dill. Since there’s no cooking involved, it’s perfect for warm days or quick meal prep. A sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning adds that signature Maryland-inspired flavor, giving this simple dish a little extra character.
Seafood Salad
Ingredients
Protein & Crunch
- 16 oz imitation crab meat (flaked style)
- ½ cup celery, finely diced
- 3 tablespoons red onion, very finely diced
Dressing
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1½ tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the ingredients
If the imitation crab pieces are large, gently pull them apart into bite-sized flakes using your hands or a fork. Finely dice the celery and red onion so the flavors distribute evenly.
Step 2: Combine
In a large bowl, add the crab, celery, and red onion. Mix in the mayonnaise, lemon juice, dill, and Old Bay seasoning.
Step 3: Mix and season
Gently fold everything together, being careful not to break up the crab too much. Season with salt and pepper, then taste and adjust if needed.
Step 4: Chill (optional)
You can serve it right away, but for the best flavor, cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to let everything meld together.
