My church ladies insisted I bring this again to the spring potluck. I still can’t believe it only takes 3 ingredients

This Southern 3-Ingredient Blueberry Cobbler is a classic, no-fuss dessert that transforms simple pantry staples into a warm, bubbling treat. As it bakes, the melted butter seeps through the dry cake mix, forming a golden, biscuit-like topping with crisp edges and soft, tender pockets. Beneath that, the blueberry filling turns thick and jammy, creating a rich, fruity base with very little effort required.
Southern 3-Ingredient Blueberry Cobbler
Ingredients:
- 2 cans (21 oz each) blueberry pie filling
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix (dry)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the blueberry pie filling evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2:
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit layer without stirring.
Tip: Keeping the layers separate allows the topping to bake up crisp and cobbler-like instead of soggy.
Step 3:
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top, covering as much of the dry mix as possible.
Tip: Be sure to reach the edges so the topping bakes evenly and turns golden brown.
Step 4:
Bake for 40–50 minutes, until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Step 5:
Let it rest for 15–20 minutes before serving to allow the filling to thicken.
Once set, it scoops up warm and thick, with a jammy blueberry base and a buttery, golden crust on top.
