Oven-Baked 4-Ingredient Pumpkin Dump Cake

This easy pumpkin dump cake layers creamy pumpkin and sweetened condensed milk under a buttery, spiced cake topping. After baking, the bottom becomes soft and custard-like while the top turns golden and crisp.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box spice cake mix
  • 1 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Prepare the oven: Heat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
  2. Make the pumpkin layer: Whisk the pumpkin puree and sweetened condensed milk together until smooth.
  3. Add the cake mix: Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly in the prepared dish. Sprinkle the dry spice cake mix over the entire surface.
  4. Add the butter: Slowly pour the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much of the dry mix as possible.
  5. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pumpkin layer has only a slight jiggle.
  6. Let it set: Remove from the oven and cool for about 30 minutes before serving. The pumpkin layer will firm up as it rests.
