Slow Cooker Potatoes and Gravy
Ingredients
- 2 pounds russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1–1½-inch chunks
- 2 packets (0.8–1 oz each) dry brown gravy mix
- 3 cups water
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized chunks.
- Lightly grease the inside of a slow cooker.
- Arrange the potatoes in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk the dry gravy mix with the water until completely smooth.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the potatoes.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Gently stir the potatoes to coat them evenly with the gravy.
- If the gravy is too thin, leave the slow cooker uncovered and cook on HIGH for another 15–20 minutes.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Serve hot, spooning plenty of gravy over the potatoes.
