Pork Chop Supreme
Ingredients
6 boneless pork chops
4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
¼ cup milk
1 packet French onion soup mix
1 can cream of onion soup
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, optional
Instructions
Prepare the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Brown the pork: Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and black pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chops until browned on both sides. Remove from the skillet.
Make the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of onion soup, French onion soup mix, and milk until smooth.
Layer the dish: Arrange the sliced potatoes evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Place the browned pork chops over the potatoes.
Add the sauce: Pour the soup mixture evenly over the pork chops and potatoes.
Bake: Cover and bake for about 60 minutes, adjusting the cooking time as needed for bone-in chops. The pork should reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Rest and serve: Allow the dish to rest briefly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
