Slow Cooker Honey Mustard Chicken

Some dinners just have that comforting, homey aroma that makes the whole kitchen feel inviting, and this Slow Cooker Honey Mustard Chicken is exactly that kind of meal. As it slowly cooks, the blend of sweet honey and tangy mustard fills the air, making it hard to wait until dinnertime. It’s the kind of recipe that feels effortless but still delivers big, comforting flavor.

I first made this on a busy weekday when I needed something simple but still homemade. With just a few pantry ingredients and a couple minutes of prep, the slow cooker handled everything. By the time dinner was ready, the chicken was fall-apart tender and coated in a glossy honey mustard sauce that everyone wanted extra of over rice.

The balance of sweet honey, sharp mustard, garlic, and herbs creates a cozy, flavorful dish that works just as well for weeknight dinners as it does for casual entertaining.

Arrange the chicken in an even layer inside the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over the top, coating all pieces evenly.

3. Cook

Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked through.

If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir it into the slow cooker during the last 20 minutes of cooking until the sauce slightly thickens.

5. Serve

Spoon the warm sauce over the chicken and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
