Garlic Butter Lobster Tails

Lobster tails may sound like a restaurant-only treat, but they’re surprisingly simple to prepare at home. This low-carb garlic butter version brings out the lobster’s naturally sweet, delicate flavor while keeping the process easy and approachable. Whether you’re putting together a special dinner or just upgrading an everyday meal, this dish adds a touch of elegance without requiring much effort.
Serve with a crisp green salad or steamed asparagus for a lighter option, or pair with cauliflower mash or roasted Brussels sprouts for a more filling plate. A chilled glass of Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with the flavors.
Garlic Butter Lobster Tails
Ingredients
- 2 lobster tails (fresh or thawed if frozen)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
Directions
1. Prepare the Lobster
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of each lobster shell, stopping just before the tail. Gently pull the shell apart and lift the meat so it rests on top.
2. Make the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for about a minute, just until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Bake
Arrange the lobster tails on a baking sheet and brush them generously with the garlic butter. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the meat turns opaque and is cooked through.
4. Serve
Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and serve immediately with extra lemon if desired.
This recipe proves that keeping things simple can still result in an elegant, flavorful dish made with just a handful of ingredients.
