My husband begs for me to make a batch every single Sunday. Best part is it takes only 4 ingredients.

These Southern-style 4-ingredient brown sugar bacon crackers—often called “bacon crack”—are a perfect mix of sweet and savory. Each bite starts with a crisp, buttery cracker, topped with smoky bacon and a caramelized brown sugar glaze that bakes into a crunchy, candy-like finish. They’re ideal for parties, gatherings, or a quick indulgent snack.
Southern 4-Ingredient Brown Sugar Bacon Crackers
Ingredients:
- 24 buttery rectangular crackers (Club-style)
- 8 slices thin-cut bacon, cut into thirds
- ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
Instructions:
Step 1: Prep the baking sheet
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup. For extra crispiness, place a wire rack on top if you have one.
Step 2: Arrange the crackers
Place the crackers in a single layer on the sheet, making sure they aren’t overlapping.
Step 3: Make the topping
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the brown sugar until it becomes thick and slightly grainy.
Step 4: Add bacon
Top each cracker with a piece of bacon, trimming if necessary so it fits neatly.
Step 5: Add the glaze
Spoon a bit of the brown sugar mixture over each bacon piece, pressing lightly so it stays in place.
Step 6: Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the bacon is fully cooked and the sugar melts into a rich, golden coating.
Step 7: Cool and serve
Let them cool for 5–10 minutes before serving so the topping firms up into a crisp, caramelized layer.
