My mother clipped this from a magazine in 1965 and never stopped making it. Still the first thing requested at family reunions.

Oven Baked 3-Ingredient Chicken Imperial
Tender chicken breasts are topped with creamy condensed chicken soup and finished with buttery breadcrumbs for a golden, crunchy crust. Baked uncovered, this simple comfort-food dinner comes out juicy and flavorful with a crisp topping.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 to 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or tenders
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 2 cups fine dry breadcrumbs mixed with 1/2 cup melted butter
Directions
- Prepare the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch ceramic casserole dish.
- Arrange the chicken: Place the chicken pieces in a single layer inside the prepared dish. Cut any especially thick pieces into smaller portions to help them cook evenly.
- Add the creamy layer: Spread the undiluted cream of chicken soup evenly over the chicken, covering the pieces as completely as possible.
- Add the breadcrumb topping: Sprinkle the buttered breadcrumbs evenly over the soup layer, making sure the entire surface is covered.
- Bake: Place the dish in the oven uncovered and bake for 45–55 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the breadcrumb topping is crisp and golden brown.
- Rest and serve: Allow the casserole to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
