Oven Baked 4-Ingredient Flaky Savory Party Pinwheels

Oven-Baked 4-Ingredient Flaky Savory Party Pinwheels
These golden, flaky pinwheels are an easy crowd-pleasing appetizer made with just four ingredients. Crisp puff pastry wraps around a creamy, cheesy filling of sharp cheddar and savory ham, creating bite-sized treats that look impressive with minimal preparation. They’re ideal for holiday gatherings, potlucks, game days, or casual family snacking.
Serve them warm or at room temperature alongside fresh vegetables, pickles, or a fruit platter. They also pair wonderfully with tomato soup, a crisp green salad, or a bowl of chili. For extra flavor, offer mustard or ranch dressing as a dipping option.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cooked ham
Instructions
- Prepare the oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly flour your work surface and unfold the thawed puff pastry.
- Mix the filling: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and chopped ham. Stir until the mixture is evenly blended.
- Spread the mixture: Distribute the filling over the puff pastry, leaving a narrow border around the edges.
- Roll the pastry: Starting at one long edge, roll the pastry tightly into a log. Gently press the seam to help seal it.
- Slice into pinwheels: Cut the log into rounds approximately 1/2 inch thick. Arrange them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
- Bake until golden: Bake for 16–20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed, crisp, and beautifully golden brown.
- Cool and serve: Allow the pinwheels to rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy them while warm or let them cool to room temperature.
